Win the trip of a lifetime!
Attention high school sophomores and juniors! Itasca-Mantrap is sponsoring one area high school student to attend the annual Youth Tour June 12-17, 2010 in Washington, D.C. The contest is open to sophomores and juniors who live in the Itasca-Mantrap service area.
Hundreds of youth from across the United States will gather in Washington, D.C. to learn more about our nation’s history, see American government in action and tour famous historical monuments. Students will also get a chance to meet and ask questions of their legislators and learn more about the importance of electric cooperatives. Students who have attended this tour in the past said it was a wonderful experience and one of the best things they ever did.
To be eligible for a chance to win this all-expense-paid trip, students must complete an application. Finalists will then be interviewed before a selection is made. Applications are available to download here, at our office, or from your high school counselor. For more information contact the Itasca-Mantrap office or go to the Youth Tour web site, www.youthtour.coop. You can also check out the new Minnesota Youth Tour Facebook page, the group is called Minnesota Rural Electric Association Washington DC Youth Tour.
Completed applications must be received by March 2, 2010.
